At Hippie Dog, we help you train your dog to behave well in the real world — not just the classroom.

We are a Richfield & Minneapolis/Twin Cities, MN, fear free and positive enforcement Dog Behavior & Dog Training business offering private dog behavior consultations & dog training lessons.  A variety of group dog training classes, dog adoption help, animal shelter & dog rescue assessments, behavior help for dogs, cats, staff & volunteers.  As well as, dog related business: staff training & our own Hippie Dog trainer mentorship program.

Inga From - The face of Hippie Dog:

Inga From, CDBC, CPDT-KSA, distinguishes herself as one of only two Certified Dog Behavior Consultants in Minnesota, acknowledged by the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. She also holds accreditation as a Professional Dog Trainer from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. Inga specializes in addressing trauma-induced behaviors in dogs, with a particular focus on shelter and rescue canines. Boasting an extensive background exceeding twenty years in animal behavior, including more than a decade devoted to shelter environments, Inga has elevated her passion for canine behavior into a distinguished profession. Notably, she played a pivotal role for over five years at a local humane society, serving as the foremost authority on behavior and training within the shelter. In recognition of her exceptional contributions, Inga received the prestigious Premier Shelter Staff Award from the national Association of Pet Dog Trainers. Founding Hippie Dog, a holistic animal behavior business, in 2014, Inga's pursuit of knowledge led her to India, where she studied street dogs and received mentorship from John Rogerson, a renowned dog trainer and behaviorist from the UK. Inga's training methodology is deeply rooted in positive reinforcement and motivational techniques, aligning with the principles of LIMA (Least Invasive Minimally Aversive). By adopting a dog-centric perspective and empathetically considering the dog's point of view, Inga challenges conventional training methods. Formerly chairing the Board of Directors for the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), Inga has established herself as a trailblazer in the field. In addition to her roles as an animal behavior consultant and trainer, Inga practices as an animal intuitive, providing energy healing and intuitive guidance to dogs and horses with passion.

Jane

Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Knowledge assessed (CPDT-KA)

Jane lives in Richfield and is the owner of two rescue dogs. She has been involved in training for around 12 years and has participated in Obedience,
Agility, Dancing dogs and Rally Obedience. She trained for 2+years for a local rescue group as well as private training and advocates for spreading the word on the value of adopting rescue dogs. Jane is an avid believer in using Force Free training as a powerful tool to help dogs and their owners, has completed rigorous Positive Reinforcement with Hippie Dog’s Mentorship Program.

Ashley

Ashley completed the Positive Reinforcement Mentorship Program with Inga From in 2023. She has worked with Inga in Shed, Forage and Positive Reinforcement Gun Dog classes. Ashley has co-taught Community Education Basic Training & Manners classes. She completed an internship at a Veterinarian Clinic & has volunteered at a local Humane Society. She has recently started her journey in animal energy work to help promote & assist in animal’s physical & emotional health.

Ashley has a passion for human & dog relationships & respect for one another. After 15 years in the corporate world Ashley had the opportunity to follow her passion of working with dogs and their humans. She believes in helping every owner be happier & more connected with their dog & every dog be happier & more connected with their owner. She looks forward to working with you & your dog!

She is currently working towards her CCPDT-KA.

Myra

Certified Family Dog Mediator ™️.

Myra has trained dogs professionally for more than 30 years and has an intense interest in dog training which spans over many areas, including obedience, protection, agility, herding, tracking, search-and-rescue, drug detection, scent discrimination, therapy and service dog training.
Living with multiple disabilities, including a diagnosis of being “on the spectrum” (autistic) at age 60, has given Myra both perspective and motivation to thoroughly study and learn how to reliably produce successful working service dogs and adapt training for persons with varied disabilities.
Myra has conducted classes in St. Paul, Minnesota for owner-trainers of service dogs and for “reactive” dogs since 2005, including persons with PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury, Epilepsy, and parents of children who are “on the spectrum.”

Michelle

Michelle has been a Certified Veterinary Technician since 2009. In that time she discovered her passion for canine behavior and helping humans and dogs connect on a deeper level. She has been focusing her veterinary continuing education on behavior since 2016 and in November 2022 started Inga’s mentorship program to start seriously on her path to dog training. Puppy development is a personal passion for her, Michelle seeks to help strengthen the bond between dog and human from the very beginning. In September 2023 she will be sitting for the CPDT – KA test to become a certified dog trainer. She currently lives with her 6 year old German shorthaired pointer Qwerty, elderly cat Kiwi, husband, and 2 kids.
